These bottles all fit the new BSA R12 CLX.

Responding to customer demand, BEST Fittings have released this range of Brand New Buddy Bottles to allow direct fitment to your BSA R10, BSA R10 Regulated, BSA R10 Fully Shrouded and R12 CLX without any modifications to the fore-end of the stock or the action.

Fitted with a Completely New BEST Fittings Custom Designed and Built Valve, the bottles are moved forward just enough to clear any obstructions within the tight space available.

Our Aluminium Buddy Bottles are Brand New Unused Luxfer  60mm diameter 400/500cc Flat Bottomed Buddy Bottles.

Our Carbon Fibre Buddy Bottles are Brand New Unused and are made specifically for BEST Fittings to meet our stringent quality demands.

NOTE:
When upgrading your 50mm diameter 200cc Buddy Bottle on an early BSA R10 Fully Shrouded Barrel version to a 400cc or 500cc bottle, you will require a minimum of 6mm clearance between the 50mm bottle and the barrel shroud.

Design Life 15 Years,
15 Year Design Life is typical of the vast majority of composite cylinders available for use in the UK/EU.

5 Year cylinder hydro-static test cycle from date of manufacture. Only required if you are having the bottle commercially re-filled.

Cylinder Decommission Date:
15 Years from Manufacture Date detailed on the cylinder.
Decommission date refers to the last date that the cylinder can be filled at a commercial fill station. You can safely continue to use the cylinder after this date until the air is depleted, it just cannot be commercially re-filled.

We heard that some folks are a bit worried about how durable our carbon fibre cylinders and buddy bottles are, so we thought we would slice one in half and let you have a look inside.

As you can see, they are pretty robust, and the aluminium liner is substantial in its own right.
The carbon fibre wrap, being light weight and extremely strong, enables the liner to be much thinner than it would need to be if used alone.
So that is how they are able to be lighter than a standard Aluminium Buddy Bottle, and have a much higher pressure rating at the same time.
